I build agents, and instruments that see inside them, to understand our place now that intelligence can be made. I want what we make to be good for us. Sometimes what I find startles me. Come look.

I’m from Bogotá, from a Colombian, Lebanese and Italian family. Spanish and English are my native languages; Italian, German and French I speak well. What I keep chasing is how meaning moves between systems.
These days that means agents that do real work, and instruments that let you see inside a model while it thinks. I co-founded the Red Cedar Institute (opens in a new tab) at MSU so undergraduates could do frontier safety research that actually ships.

A proactive AI agent platform for diabetes management, built on a fork of Microsoft Scout with health-data integrations. First place in Healthy Futures, one of seven winning teams out of 1,100+ interns worldwide.

Peer-to-peer federated learning: nodes pass a model around the network, train on data they never share, and converge in fewer epochs than a traditional model. Later the seed of an arXiv paper.
Make the desire path visible.
A robot arm that tests accessibility hardware the way real hands use it (limited mobility, fatigue) and draws where the designed path and the actual one diverge.
Memory, cut from attention.
An EEG crown watches you watch a film, finds the peaks of your focus, and keeps those clips: your favorite moments, chosen by your brain.
